The facility is comprised of 5 separate buildings including a new sheriff’s office and a support building with full-service kitchen and laundry, office space, medical treatment rooms, padded cells, booking, inmate property storage, locker rooms and training rooms for the officers, a judge’s hearing room, and both contact and non-contact visitation areas. The support building includes an enclosed double drive sally port with automatic coiling overhead doors creating an enclosed area for loading and unloading inmates. State of the art security and camera monitoring systems were installed with over 250 cameras located throughout the facility. There are two housing units that are 2 stories and a third housing unit that is a dormitory style unit to house the minimum security inmates. The housing units have 2 person, 4 person, and isolation cells with 4 cells in each building that are ADA compliant. The dormitory building has three areas that house 40 inmates each. Each building has a central control and monitoring station located in the core of each building on the second floor. From the control station all sections of the building can be monitored on both the first and second floor levels. The support building houses the master control station and all of the security and cell doors have electric locks and monitoring with intercom and call panels in each cell. Video visitation stations and a recreational yard are included within the secure perimeter of each building allowing inmates to be monitored from the central control station within each building. In the event of power loss to the facility, there are two 600 KW generators for emergency power.
