UGA Rock Eagle 4-H Center - 2023 Development Project
Multiple New Cabins and Site Improvements
Client: University of Georgia
Size of Project:
Located north of Eatonton, Georgia and bordered by the Oconee National Forest, the Rock Eagle 4-H Center spans nearly 1,500 acres of forestland surrounding a 110-acre lake and serves as the largest of the University of Georgia’s five 4-H centers. As part of the center’s long-term master plan, Allstate Construction replaced several aging 1950s-era cabins with modern, 2,970-square-foot facilities designed to house up to 22 occupants each and provide improved comfort, accessibility, and ADA-compliant accommodations. Additional work included cabin renovations, quad improvements, and renovations to the Callaway Building, supporting Rock Eagle’s continued role in hosting thousands of students each year for Georgia’s 4-H environmental education and summer camping programs.
