Tom P Haney Technical College
Panama City, FL
Client: Bay District Schools
Size of Project: 40,000 sq ft
Recently completed, the first phase of this CM at Risk project consisted of repairs and renovations campus-wide after the destruction of Hurricane Michael. Renovations of an existing building to provide space for the cosmetology program, and the new construction of 34,700 sq ft state-of-the-art facility transformed the campus to better serve the technical training needs of the local community. The new building replaced portions of the aged and hurricane damaged campus originally built in the late 1960s. Phase Two provided a new chiller plant to support the expanded and updated Technical Center campus, installation of new electrical services, and the demolition of several buildings that were beyond repair. This project aims to address the growing needs of nursing/health science and other technical programs by providing classrooms, teaching labs, support staff and administration spaces, as well as community spaces located in the new lobby.
