Sergeant Paul R Smith Middle School

Sergeant Paul R. Smith Middle School was a tilt-wall prototype construction project which Allstate completed in just 14 months.  We worked directly with county officials concerning public utilities and roadway concerns.  This site also doubles as an emergency shelter. Campus spaces included 2 story classroom, laboratories, administration and media spaces, single story kitchen, dining, and gymnasium structures and various athletic fields. The scope of work also included extensive site work and landscaping, and because the project is located on only 9 acres adjacent to an existing elementary school, close communication with the neighboring elementary school staff was required to minimize any interference with their normal day to day operations.  2009 Public Projects - The Planning Commission Community Design Award of Excellence
